If you are interested in hosting a food drive to benefit Family Kitchen, here's what you need to know!
We rely heavily on donations to provide about 3,000 free meals to our community every week.
To organize a food drive, you can:
-
Pick up a plastic bin from Family Kitchen. This bin comes with a laminated sheet of what food we can make the most use of (we can also send you a digital PDF)
-
Let your staff or patrons know! Choose a duration (2 - 4 weeks) (or it can be ongoing). We recommend sending an email, doing a social media post, and displaying the bin in an obvious location.
-
Return the bin to Family Kitchen any day between the hours of 10 AM - 2 PM. Please drop off with staff.
If your drive is ongoing, you can empty the bin and bring it back to refill!
Other notes:
-
Food banks can accept dry goods that are up to one year expired.
-
Donations must be unopened.
Thank you so much for helping to feed those in need, we couldn’t do it without donors like you!
Much love from all of us at Family Kitchen!
